Bilawal Bhutto Zardari urged political leaders to prioritize the welfare of the country over personal interests and underscored the importance of fair and transparent elections. He appealed to the Election Commission and Chief Justice to ensure that the February 8 elections proceed without any interference or allegations, emphasizing that a transparent electoral process is crucial for the country’s progress.

Discussing legal matters, legal expert Shah Khawar noted that the Supreme Court’s bench, responsible for reviewing decisions, had limited scope for success in appeals against judgments issued under the Practice and Procedure Act of 2023. He highlighted that the recent amendments restricted the options available for appeals against decisions issued under section 184/3.

Amir Mehmood highlighted the need to avoid spreading false narratives, asserting that Pervez Elahi should refrain from fabricating stories. The denial from the Punjab government’s spokesperson aims to quash the allegations and maintain clarity regarding any interactions involving high-profile individuals in the country’s correctional facilities.

She questioned why Lahore, with its thriving music industry, has not built a trauma center akin to Karachi. Highlighting the apparent neglect of healthcare facilities, she emphasized the need for comprehensive medical facilities, especially trauma centers, in Lahore.

During the rally, Bilawal Bhutto expressed that the PPP is the only party that stands against inflation, unemployment, and poverty, considering them as his primary opposition. He conveyed his dedication to serving the common people and highlighted the need for his presence among the masses to understand and address their grievances.
