DG ISPR and Balochistan CM to address Jaffar express incident in joint press conference.

Islamabad – Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti will hold a joint press conference today at 3:30 PM in Islamabad.

The military spokesperson will provide a detailed briefing on the Jaffar Express attack and the security forces’ rescue operation, shedding light on key developments surrounding the incident.

This press conference comes two days after the terrorist attack on the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express in Balochistan, where over 400 passengers were taken hostage before being rescued by security forces.

PM Shehbaz Announces All Parties Conference (APC) on Security Situation

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the convening of an All Parties Conference (APC) to discuss the escalating terrorism threats in the country.

Chairing a high-level meeting in Quetta, the PM emphasized the need for national unity, stating that political leadership and the armed forces must develop a joint strategy to counter terrorism.

  • He praised security forces, particularly the Zarar Company of the Pakistan Army, for their swift and strategic response in rescuing the Jaffar Express passengers.
