The Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in Lahore and several districts of Punjab as the new year starts. According to the Met Office, rain is expected to begin tomorrow (Thursday) and continue until January 6, with humidity levels reaching up to 94%.
Lahore, which currently ranks as the third most polluted city in Pakistan, has recorded an average smog level of 219. Despite the pollution, the city welcomed the new year with cold weather.
The current temperature in Lahore is 9°C, with a minimum of 8°C and a maximum expected to reach 18°C. Meteorological data indicates a wind speed of 5 km/h, adding to the chilly atmosphere.
