The West Indies have revealed their 15-man squad for the upcoming three ODIs against England, marking their return to international cricket after missing the World Cup. In a surprising move, wicketkeeper-batsman Shane Dowrich, who last played a one-day international four years ago and a test three years ago, earns a recall. Shai Hope will lead the side, with Alzarri Joseph named as the new vice-captain.
Other notable inclusions in the squad are all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford and seamer Matthew Forde, both aiming to secure their first caps. Coach Daren Sammy emphasized the team’s awareness of the challenges as they prepare to face England on home soil.
The series kicks off in Antigua with matches on Dec. 3 and 6, followed by the third and final ODI in Barbados on Dec. 9.
