The Senate by-elections will be held for one seat in Islamabad, two seats in Sindh, and three seats in Balochistan. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam members will cast their votes for Yousaf Gilani in the seat from Islamabad during the by-elections on March 14.

With the retirement of Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Afridi, the positions of Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Senate are now vacant.

As per the schedule of the interim elections, the polling for the Senate’s interim elections in Sindh will take place on March 14th, from 9 am to 4 pm, at the Sindh Assembly Building.

The Election Commission’s decision to appoint experienced and impartial individuals as returning officers demonstrates its commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections. These officers will be responsible for upholding the integrity of the electoral process and ensuring that the elections are conducted in accordance with the law.

It is said that Khawaja Asif will be given the Ministry of Defence and Masood Malik will be given the Ministry of Petroleum, while Ameer Maqam is also likely to be included in the cabinet.
