PML-N Leader Khurram Dastgir Expresses Concerns over Seat Adjustments and Electoral Politics

Khurram Dastgir, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has voiced his disappointment, stating that even the issue of seat adjustments has become a part of political maneuvering and leveling allegations in the field. Addressing the media, Dastgir expressed reservations about the recently proposed constituency delimitations across the country.

He emphasized that the decision regarding electoral symbols should rest with the Election Commission, and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has the option to approach the court if needed. Dastgir highlighted that nearly 20 seats are under dispute concerning ticket allocations, and these issues are expected to be resolved within the next 4 to 3 days.

Regarding the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) substantial demand, he disclosed that significant negotiations had not taken place following the extensive demand. While Dastgir acknowledged the possibility of adjustments with PPP leaders, he pointed out that there are still pending discussions on their major agenda.

Dastgir insisted that negotiations with the PPP are ongoing, and the final decision on tickets will pave the way for further discussions on the space each party will have. He revealed that discussions on accommodating PPP in Punjab are underway, and there is no pressure on the PML-N to adjust solely in Punjab. He expressed a willingness to move forward with other parties in a collaborative manner.
