Pakistan’s national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), has revealed its plans to initiate international flight services from Skardu Airport, marking a significant milestone. This marks the debut of PIA’s international operations at the civil airport situated in Gilgit-Baltistan.
In a recent announcement, Pakistan International Airlines disclosed the forthcoming launch of its inaugural international flight service connecting Skardu and Dubai. The maiden flight is scheduled to depart on August 14th, 2023, coinciding with Independence Day, followed by the commencement of weekly flights starting from August 19th.
The introduction of the Dubai-Skardu route aligns with the airline’s dedication to both community service and the advancement of Pakistan’s positive image through the avenue of tourism.
