Sheikh Rashid Ahmed affirms willingness to contest elections despite potential incarceration

Former federal interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has declared his intention to participate in elections even if faced with imprisonment. Speaking outside the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench, he emphasized his right to express his viewpoint, stating that he would begin visiting press clubs after January 1. Sheikh Rashid highlighted that no case had been registered against him, but the court has directed the police to provide details of any registered cases. The anti-terrorism court is set to decide on his bail applications, with Latif Khosa, Aitzaz, Salman Akram, Sardar Abdul Razaq, and Sardar Shehbaz named as his potential legal representatives in case of imprisonment. The Lahore High Court has issued notices to the involved parties, seeking a response within a week.
