Massive gathering in Lahore as PML-N prepares to welcome Nawaz sharif.

Lahore Gears Up for a Grand Welcome as PML-N Supporters Converge to Celebrate Nawaz Sharif’s Return

Karachi/Quetta: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders and supporters from all corners of the country are flocking to Lahore for an extravagant show of strength, as they eagerly anticipate the return of their leader, Nawaz Sharif, on October 21.

The PML-N has gone to great lengths to ensure that its supporters can attend the grand Minar-e-Pakistan rally. To facilitate this, multiple special trains have been booked, decorated with party leaders’ pictures and flags.

Two trains have departed from Balochistan, one from Naseerabad, and another from Quetta, while a substantial number of PML-N workers, led by the party’s provincial leadership, set off from Karachi’s City Railway Station.

PML-N Karachi President Salman Khan revealed that 5,500 workers sought tickets, but they could only accommodate 3,000, with the remainder being arranged transportation to Lahore via bus.

Former governor Mohammad Zubair, speaking to the media at the station, expressed confidence that the enthusiasm would continue to rise. He remarked that such a significant turnout for a political rally from Sindh was unprecedented. He added that Nawaz Sharif would address the welfare of the people in his speech and that the PML-N was developing an agenda for the people.

However, the situation turned embarrassing for the PML-N as some workers protested due to a lack of space on the train. They urged party leaders to accommodate them, and eventually, seats were provided.

Simultaneously, another special train departed from Hyderabad at 3 pm, led by PML-N Sindh President Shah Muhammad Shah. A convoy from Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad also set out to reach Lahore, led by Dr. Mustafa Bashir, who claimed that over 10,000 Kashmiris would join the mega rally at the Minar-e-Pakistan.

The stage is now set for Nawaz Sharif’s homecoming, as all legal obstacles have been removed. He was granted protective bail in two graft cases, and his arrest warrant in the Toshakhana case was suspended by an accountability court. The Islamabad High Court approved Nawaz Sharif’s bail pleas in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references, extending bail until October 24.

Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Dubai, where he will meet with party leaders and have a busy schedule in the Gulf state. He also had a meeting today with a prominent UAE figure.
