Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defence pact: any attack on one will be treated as attack on both.

Pakistan will treat any Indian assault on its territory as an attack on Saudi Arabia, while any Israeli strike on Saudi Arabia will be met with full force, Prime Minister’s political adviser Rana Sanaullah said, underscoring the strategic importance of the newly signed defence pact.

Speaking on ARY News, Rana Sanaullah clarified, “If India attacks Pakistan, it will be seen as an attack on Saudi Arabia. Similarly, Israel knows that an assault on Saudi Arabia will be treated as an attack on Pakistan, and Pakistan will respond strongly.”

He described the agreement as “historic and rare between two powerful nations,” highlighting that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are Islamic countries, with Pakistan being a key military power.

Recalling Pakistan’s past resilience, he noted that the country had repeatedly prevailed against stronger adversaries and warned hostile nations not to underestimate this new deterrent.

Rana Sanaullah also stressed Pakistan’s indigenous defence strength, remarking, “Our missile system is among the best in the world and entirely our own creation. With further advancements, others may even have to purchase from us.”

He called the defence pact “encouraging, historic, and vital for the future,” adding that its implementation would further boost the security of both nations.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement, which affirms that any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both.

According to the joint statement issued by the PM Office Media Wing, the agreement reflects the shared commitment of both nations to strengthen defence cooperation, ensure joint deterrence, and contribute to peace and stability in the region and beyond.
