Nawaz Sharif Accuses Government of Fabricated Cases, PTI Responds with Allegations of Decades-Long Corruption

In a fiery address at the central secretariat of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif launched a scathing critique against the government, declaring that he not only rejects the government but also demands accountability for the alleged fake cases of 2017. He questioned the credibility of those who create false cases and asserted that he seeks justice for injustices and oppression.

Nawaz Sharif did not shy away from direct attacks, labeling those who accuse others of theft as the biggest thieves themselves. He specifically pointed out the £190 million scandal, deeming it the largest financial scandal in the country’s history. Sharif urged an investigation into who caused poverty, challenging the accountability of those who, according to him, have plunged the nation into dire economic straits.

The PML-N leader further highlighted the significance of the release of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani’s son, stating that if Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz were allowed out of jail, their two years of hard work would go to waste. He accused the government of using relief measures for political gains.

Addressing the recent political developments, Nawaz Sharif expressed concerns about an individual being brought into the limelight without any knowledge of the country, its economy, global relations, or even societal issues. He emphasized that the rhetoric of a Medina-like state is being used without understanding its principles, questioning the knowledge and comprehension of those who promote such slogans.

The former Prime Minister concluded by stating that despite the unfortunate circumstances Pakistan has faced for 75 years, resilience and patience have been key attributes. He expressed the desire for the country to emerge from its current challenges and be placed on the path of progress once again.

This verbal exchange underlines the political tension in Pakistan, with Nawaz Sharif defending his narrative against government allegations, and the government responding with accusations of corruption spanning decades.
