The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is set to kickstart its preparations for the upcoming elections on February 8 with a parliamentary board meeting in Lahore. Led by party supremo Nawaz Sharif and President Shehbaz Sharif, the meeting will focus on selecting candidates for the National Assembly. Sargodha Division has been chosen as the starting point for the candidate selection process, where aspirants will present their cases to party leaders. PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb emphasized the party’s commitment to being the first in forming panels, crafting election manifestos, and selecting candidates. The challenging decision-making process reflects the intricacies of electoral politics at various levels.
