Police foil sugar and urea smuggling attempt to Afghanistan.

Law enforcement agencies have successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle sugar and urea to Afghanistan, acting on intelligence received from intelligence agencies.

Reports indicate that a substantial quantity of sugar and urea was being illegally transported from the Sindh province to Afghanistan.

Following a well-coordinated operation carried out on the National Highway, the police effectively intercepted and halted the smuggling endeavor.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 11 trucks, comprising seven loaded with sugar and four with urea fertilizer. These commodities were being smuggled from various cities within the Sindh province to Afghanistan.

The bags of sugar and urea are currently in the process of being transferred to the food department’s storage facilities.

Furthermore, the police have arrested four individuals involved in this illicit activity.
