Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik stated on Friday that India is directly involved in orchestrating terrorist activities in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan.
He pointed to the confessional statement of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav as irrefutable evidence of India’s involvement, calling it a clear admission of support for terrorism. “What could be a bigger proof than Kulbhushan Jadhav himself admitting he supported insurgency and terror activities in Pakistan? He is the face of Indian state-sponsored terrorism,” Barrister Aqeel said.
He condemned India’s continued campaign to defame Pakistan despite substantial proof of its backing for terror-related incidents globally. Citing recent attacks in Khuzdar and Nushki, he noted a consistent pattern of foreign-sponsored violence. “In just the past month, several attacks targeting innocent laborers and civilians have exposed the operational footprint of Indian-backed terrorists in Balochistan,” he added.
Barrister Aqeel further asserted that India has openly acknowledged its interference in Balochistan, and vowed that the menace of Indian influence and extremist insurgency would be crushed under the National Action Plan.
He also discussed ongoing counterterrorism efforts, highlighting that Operation Azm-e-Istehkam is progressing and nearing completion. He emphasized the necessity of intelligence-based and kinetic operations, along with a centralized intelligence-sharing system for an effective and unified response.
“We are developing a central intelligence repository to decode threats in real time and respond swiftly,” he said.
On the diplomatic front, Barrister Aqeel mentioned that a high-level Pakistani delegation is engaging with international stakeholders to present Pakistan’s perspective on regional security.
He credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership and recent consultations with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, affirming that Pakistan’s leadership stands united and resolute in its approach to national and regional security.
