Imam-ul-Haq injured, fails concussion test during final ODI against New Zealand.

Pakistan’s opening batter Imam-ul-Haq suffered a concerning injury during the third and final ODI against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui after being struck on the jaw by a fielder’s throw that deflected off his helmet grill while running between the wickets.

The impact forced Imam to retire hurt and leave the field. According to team management, he failed the concussion test conducted shortly after the incident. He was subsequently replaced by Usman Khan, who managed to score only 12 runs.

Medical staff are continuing to monitor Imam’s condition at the on-field emergency center, with the possibility of transferring him to the hospital if required for further assessment.
