Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor found herself replaced in the iconic film ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ just three days before production was set to commence. This revelation comes courtesy of actor Ameesha Patel, who ultimately stepped into the lead role and contributed to the movie’s blockbuster success.
Ameesha Patel, currently in the spotlight for her role in ‘Gadar 2’ alongside Sunny Deol, shed light on Kareena Kapoor’s departure from ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.’ Patel recently disclosed an intriguing aspect of the casting process for the film, which also marked Hrithik Roshan’s debut in the industry.
“Originally, Kareena was cast in the film, but she exited the project shortly before production,” Patel revealed. She went on to explain that the replacement for the lead role was swiftly found within just three days, leading Patel to become an integral part of the blockbuster.
Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film would go on to become one of the super-hits of the 2000s. This last-minute change in the cast proved to be fortuitous for Ameesha Patel, as her performance in the movie continues to be remembered and celebrated even after two decades.
