Ahsan Iqbal accuses PTI founder of Rs 64 billion theft, criticizes economic mismanagement.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry, strongly condemned the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday, alleging his involvement in a massive theft of Rs 64 billion in the £190 million case.

Speaking in the Senate, Iqbal declared that such embezzlement was unforgivable. He criticized the justification of using misappropriated funds for religious purposes, calling it a misuse of religion. The minister argued that with legitimate funds, Pakistan could have established ten universities to benefit its people.

Iqbal emphasized that the PTI chairman would not evade accountability for his role in the alleged theft.

He further criticized the PTI government for its economic mismanagement, highlighting its failure to conduct a population census, neglect of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and inflicting losses of over Rs 2,300 billion on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
