Sajid Khan opens up about his struggles and thoughts of suicide over the last six years.

Actor-director Sajid Khan recently shared the emotional toll of the past six years, revealing that he contemplated ending his life multiple times during this difficult period. Speaking in an interview, Khan described how the aftermath of the accusations in the #MeToo movement, which surfaced in 2018 during the filming of Housefull 4, left him out of work and severely impacted his mental health.

He admitted that despite receiving clearance from the Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA), he has been struggling to regain his footing in the industry. The financial hardships led to him selling his house and moving to a rented flat, as he faced a lack of earnings.

Khan reflected on the hardships of his early life, recounting how he began earning for his family at the age of 14 after his father, producer-director Kamran Khan, passed away, leaving behind financial debts for him and his sister, Farah Khan. Amidst his efforts to rebuild, Sajid expressed his regret that his mother, Menaka Irani, was not alive to witness his determination to overcome these challenges.
