Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, departed for the United States on Sunday to participate in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB). During his visit, the Minister is scheduled to hold discussions with high-ranking officials from both institutions, as indicated by a press release from the finance ministry.
In addition to meetings with IMF and World Bank officials, Aurangzeb will engage with his counterparts from several countries, including China, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey. He is also set to interact with top officials from the US State and Treasury Departments, global credit rating agencies, and investment banks from the Middle East.
Aurangzeb plans to address various investment forums and seminars, where he will present Pakistan’s economic outlook. Furthermore, he will visit prominent US think tanks and engage with selected representatives from international and American media.
