Why Babar Azam Got Angry During Pakistan-Afghanistan 2nd ODI?

Babar-vs-Afghanistan

In the latest clash of the three-match ODI series between Afghanistan and Pakistan, tensions flared as Afghan player Fareed Ahmed exhibited unsportsmanlike behavior. Fareed allegedly misbehaved with Babar Azam and Imam ul Haq, resorting to inappropriate language and refusing to shake hands after the match’s conclusion. This incident follows Afghanistan’s struggle to accept a narrow one-wicket defeat in the second ODI.

Despite the provocation, Babar Azam and Imam ul Haq displayed remarkable restraint in response to Fareed Khan’s actions. Notably, experienced Afghan all-rounders Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi took it upon themselves to apologize to the Pakistani players for their teammate’s behavior.

Babar Azam Angry

Rashid Khan reportedly expressed his displeasure with Fareed Ahmed and requested him to leave the scene. Additionally, the Afghan coach extended an apology to Babar Azam.

The incident did not escape the notice of the national team management, who strongly protested against this unprofessional behavior directed towards the captain of the Pakistani national team.

Adding to the tension, star Pakistani bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi appeared infuriated by the controversial yet legal dismissal of Shadab Khan by Fazal Haq Farooqui in the last over. Reports suggest that Afridi even prevented the national team from participating in the customary handshake with the Afghanistan team following the second match.

In response, the team management advised Shaheen Shah Afridi and all the players to exercise restraint and uphold the spirit of the game.
