Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson is positioned as a likely candidate for the role of head coach for the national cricket team as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) commences the search ahead of the T20I series against New Zealand. Currently serving as the coach for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Watson stands out as a strong contender for the position. While Peshawar Zalmi’s head coach Darren Sammy is also in the running, sources suggest that Watson is the favorite candidate for the role. An official announcement from the PCB is anticipated soon, especially with the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand scheduled for next month.
