According to sources, the Inquiry Commission has made initial requests for all records related to the Faizabad sit-in and has sought an inquiry report from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) regarding the electronic media coverage during the protest.

Amina Malik had previously filed a complaint against Justice Tariq Masood, prompting the Supreme Judicial Council to initiate an inquiry into the matter. The council has also issued notices to Justice Mazhar Naqvi and the complainants against him, including Amina Malik. The sources suggest that a thorough review of the complaints against Justice Mazhar Naqvi will be conducted after the adjournment.

This surge in the deficit follows July’s current account shortfall of $809 million, as reported by the State Bank. The escalating deficit trend raises concerns about the country’s economic stability and its impact on the balance of payments.
