The Election Commission of Pakistan postponed the indictment of PTI chairman in the contempt of ECP and CEC case to December 6, citing security concerns that prevented his presentation from Adiala Jail. The delay comes amidst a backdrop of legal developments, as an accountability court recently extended bail for the PTI Chairman and his wife Bushra Bibi until December 6 in Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust cases. The proceedings, conducted within Adiala Jail, involved the appearance of PTI chief and Bushra Bibi, with NAB prosecutor Muzzafar Abbasi and PTI chief’s counsel Latif Khosa presenting their arguments. The case, initiated by the Election Commission of Pakistan, centers around the alleged concealment of proceeds from the sale of gifts received at discounted rates from the Toshakhana, leading to the PTI chief’s arrest on August 5.
