Actor Kevin Costner and his wife of nearly 19 years, Christine Baumgartner, have come to an amicable and mutually agreed-upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings, according to a joint statement released by the couple. This settlement marks the end of a contentious court battle and will prevent a scheduled trial in December in a Santa Barbara County, California court.
Baumgartner filed for divorce in May, and the couple had previously engaged in a legal dispute over child support payments. Following a two-day hearing, a judge ordered Costner to pay approximately $63,000 per month for their three children, a significantly lower amount than the $175,000 per month sought by Baumgartner.
Kevin Costner, known for his roles in “Dances With Wolves,” “The Bodyguard,” and TV’s “Yellowstone,” was previously married and has four adult children from prior relationships. Costner and Baumgartner married in 2004 and have two sons, aged 16 and 14, and a 12-year-old daughter together.
