President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed warm greetings to the Hindu community across Pakistan on the occasion of Diwali.
President Zardari, in his message, highlighted that Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. He reaffirmed that the Constitution of Pakistan ensures equal rights and complete religious freedom for all citizens. The President also recalled Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of a nation where minorities enjoy equal rights and opportunities.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, reiterated his government’s commitment to upholding equality and ensuring progress for all communities, regardless of their faith.
Meanwhile, the Hindu community in Pakistan and around the world is celebrating Diwali today — the festival of lights marked by vibrant gatherings, fireworks, festive meals, and prayers.
