Commodore Ahmed Hussain SI(M), Director General of Public Relations (DGPR Navy), has been elevated to the rank of Rear Admiral, according to a press release issued on Friday.
Rear Admiral Hussain brings with him extensive experience from various command and staff roles, including command of PN Ships and leadership of the US-led Combined Task Force 151 (CTF-151) in Bahrain.
Honored with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) for his distinguished service, he has significantly strengthened transparency and communication between the Pakistan Navy and the public. His responsibilities include media briefings, managing outreach campaigns, and delivering the Navy’s strategic messaging on national platforms.
His promotion comes at a crucial time, as effective naval communication remains vital in addressing evolving global and regional maritime security challenges.
