Maulana Fazlur Rehman stresses need for peace and consultation.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman reaffirmed his party’s loyalty to the state and the constitution of Pakistan, emphasizing their opposition to violence in politics.

Speaking at the Pashtun FATA National Consultative Jirga at Nishtar Hall, he stated that peace is essential for development and prosperity, which remains absent in the region.

He clarified that while JUI-F does not oppose the merger of erstwhile FATA, the tribal people were not consulted before the decision. The merger was intended to bring stability, but the desired peace has yet to be achieved.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman concluded by stressing the importance of security, stating, “A nation deprived of peace is deprived of everything.”
