Punjab government announces judges’ appointments in special courts.

The Punjab government has issued a notification regarding the appointment of judges in various special courts across the province, following orders from the Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice. This move was approved during a cabinet session chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

  • Anti-Terrorism Courts:
    • Lahore 1: Judge Khalid Arshad
    • Lahore 2: Judge Imran Haider
    • Sargodha: Judge Muhammad Abbas
    • Sahiwal: Judge Ziaullah Khan
    • Gujranwala: Judge Muhammad Naeem Saleem
    • Faisalabad: Judge Rana Shahid Zameer
    • Lahore: Senior Special Judge Safdar Bhatti and Special Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta
  • Anti-Corruption Courts:
    • Faisalabad: Judge Muhammad Zahid Gaznavi
    • Bahawalpur: Judge Khalid Ishaq
  • Other Appointments:
    • Service Tribunal and Consumer Courts:
      • Lahore Consumer Court: Judge Muhammad Ali
    • Revenue Authority:

Submission and Implementation:

The Advocate General will submit the notification to LHC Chief Justice Shehzad Ahmed Khan to formalize these appointments.
