Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a show of defiance regarding the Rafah situation, delivered a message to the United States, according to Arab media reports.
In a statement issued on Friday, Netanyahu stated that Israel is determined to send its military forces to the southern Gaza area of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians reside.
Netanyahu emphasized that Israel remains committed to carrying out this action even without American support, highlighting the resolve of the Israeli government in the face of escalating tensions.
The Israeli Prime Minister revealed that he had also informed American Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who recently concluded his tour of the Middle East, that there is no alternative for Israel but to enter Rafah to defeat Hamas.
Moreover, Netanyahu expressed hope for American cooperation in this endeavor but made it clear that Israel is prepared to act alone if necessary.
Antony Blinken’s recent visit to Israel included discussions with Netanyahu regarding the Gaza ceasefire and humanitarian aid provision, underscoring the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address the situation.
