Senator Nazhat Sadiq from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri from the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) have tendered their resignations from the Senate seats.
Senator Nazhat Sadiq submitted her resignation to the Chairman of the Senate, Sadiq Sanjrani, which he accepted. She will take the oath as a member of the National Assembly.
Similarly, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, representing the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, has also resigned from the Senate.
Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri also submitted his resignation to Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, which was accepted, and a notification has been issued in this regard.
The National Assembly session is scheduled to take place at 10 am today, where newly elected members will take the oath.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri will also take the oath as a member of the National Assembly today.
It should be noted that today, the newly elected members of the assembly will take the oath, after which nominations for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly will be submitted.
