Jamaat-e-Islami Threatens Protest over Pakistan’s Response to Palestine Crisis

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan’s Amir, Siraj ul Haq, has warned that if the Pakistani government fails to fulfill its responsibility regarding Palestine, they will stage a protest outside the President House or the US Embassy on the 27th of Ramadan.

Under the banner of Jamaat-e-Islami, a significant number of women and children participated in the Gaza March organized in the federal capital Islamabad. Participants of the march vehemently condemned the atrocities of Israel against Palestinians and raised slogans in solidarity with them.

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami, Siraj ul Haq, criticized the Pakistani government for not standing up for Gaza despite a rally organized in the United States in support of Palestinians, with some participants even entering the White House. He lamented the lack of support from Pakistan’s leadership for Gaza.

He warned that if the Pakistani government fails to fulfill its responsibility towards Palestine, they will decide to enter the President House or the US Embassy on the 27th of Ramadan as a form of protest.

He emphasized that as long as two families are in power, neither the country’s culture nor its treasury is safe. The remarks reflect his dissatisfaction with the current political leadership’s handling of the Palestine issue.

During the rally, Senator Mushtaq Ahmed, Miyan Islam, and other local leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami also addressed the participants, expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine and urging the government to take a stronger stance on the matter.

The participation of women and children in the Gaza March organized by Jamaat-e-Islami underscores the grassroots support for the Palestinian cause within Pakistan. It also highlights the growing frustration among the Pakistani public regarding the government’s perceived inaction on international issues, particularly concerning Palestine.
