Lahore high court issues notices on petition challenging PHCIP’s bid for service providers.

The Lahore High Court has taken cognizance of a petition filed by Well Wisher Security Services, challenging the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project’s (PHCIP) bid to hire 310 service providers for seven districts in Punjab. Justice Muzamal Akhtar Shabbir issued notices to the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department and other parties, asserting that the rights of the successful bidder are contingent upon the final outcome of the petition. The petitioner contends that the bid evaluation, allegedly breaching provincial labor laws, is illegal, questioning the health department’s eligibility for the contract. The court has scheduled a hearing for January 1, emphasizing that the parties’ rights are subject to the court’s ultimate decision.
