Indian police have pressed terrorism charges against four individuals linked to a security breach in the parliament. The breach occurred on the 22nd anniversary of a previous attack, with a man jumping into the chamber, shouting slogans, and deploying a smoke canister. Opposition lawmakers demanded the interior minister address the incident, leading to a temporary adjournment of parliament. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh assured increased precautions, and eight security personnel were suspended. An interior ministry inquiry, prompted by parliament, is underway, and a meeting of all units managing parliament security has been convened. The suspects, charged under anti-terror laws, chanted slogans opposing dictatorship. Speaker Om Birla plans discussions on enhancing security measures.
