The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, along with former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other individuals, is expected to have the Saifur Rehman case heard in the judicial complex instead of Adiala Jail.
According to sources, the possibility of holding the Saifur case hearing in Adiala Jail is ruled out, and it is anticipated that the proceedings will take place in the Judicial Complex.
Reports suggest that the Official Secrets Act notification for the jail trial has not been issued in the courts until now.
Justice Abul Hassanat Zaidi is scheduled to conduct the Saifur case hearing this morning. The Law Ministry’s notification, when presented in court, may lead to the hearing taking place in the Judicial Complex.
It is noteworthy that the federal cabinet had recently approved the trial of the Saifur case in Adiala Jail. However, as per the law and justice ministry’s summary circulated among cabinet members, the approval was sought for the transfer of the case to the jail for the trial.
The legal proceedings and venue decisions will unfold as Justice Abul Hassanat Zaidi reviews the notification, and if it specifies Adiala Jail, the hearing will proceed there; otherwise, it will be conducted in the Judicial Complex.
The shifting of the Saifur Rehman case hearing venue adds a new dimension to the legal proceedings. The case involves several prominent figures, and its developments continue to attract public attention. As the legal process unfolds, it remains to be seen how the shift in the trial location will impact the overall dynamics of the case.
