Lahore high court to hear PTI chairman’s wife’s plea for details on inquiries and cases.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) is set to hear a petition filed by Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI chairman, to obtain details of inquiries and cases pending against her. The two-member bench, headed by LHC Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry, is scheduled to address the plea on November 27.

In the plea, the petitioner contends that after the removal of the PTI chief as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, cases have been registered against her. She emphasizes the need for details regarding the cases and pending inquiries. Bushra Bibi had previously approached the highest court in Punjab to seek information on the cases.

In a related development, an Islamabad district and sessions court had dismissed an alleged unlawful marriage case against the PTI chairman and Bushra Bibi. The petitioner, Muhammad Hanif, and his lawyer Fawad Haider appeared in court, citing the upcoming hearing on November 25 as the reason for withdrawing the case on technical grounds.

The court accepted the request, leading to the dismissal of the case, where the petitioner had accused the PTI chairman and Bushra Bibi of marrying during iddat, the period of about four months for a divorced or widowed woman in Islamic Sharia.
