Hezbollah commits to non-Intervention in conflict unless provoked by Israeli aggression.

Lebanon’s Foreign Minister, Abdallah Rashid Bouhabib, disclosed that the government had received assurances from Hezbollah regarding their non-intervention stance in the ongoing conflict, emphasizing that Hezbollah’s involvement would only be triggered if Israel initiated hostile actions against Lebanon. This statement was made prior to Hezbollah’s announcement of an attack on Israeli positions in the Mount Dov area. Hezbollah’s commitment to non-intervention was conveyed to Bouhabib, with the condition that they would act only if Lebanon faced Israeli aggression.

In the escalating Israel-Hamas conflict, the death toll has tragically exceeded 1,100, with significant casualties on both sides. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning of a protracted and challenging war in response to a barrage of rockets launched by Hamas fighters, leading to numerous casualties and hostage situations.

In a separate development, Qatar is reportedly taking steps to facilitate a swift prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Hamas. The proposed deal focuses on the release of female prisoners held by both parties. While there is U.S. support for this initiative, Hamas has expressed preliminary agreement, provided that all Palestinian female prisoners detained in Israel are part of the exchange.
