Prince Harry displayed a subdued demeanor during the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games, all while reportedly grappling with marital issues involving his spouse, Meghan Markle.
An expert who analyzed Harry’s appearance noted discernible changes in his body language. The Duke of Sussex took the stage alone, without Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, beside him, and this alteration in his circumstances seemed to manifest in a more mature and composed demeanor, according to the body language expert.
In an interview with The Mirror, Judi James observed that Harry appeared to have “tempered his self-importance” while presiding over the games in the German city of Dusseldorf. She emphasized that this version of Harry differed significantly from his past appearances, particularly when Meghan typically introduced him or provided support from the audience.
“Despite the enthusiastic cheers, chants, and standing ovation, Harry’s body language conveyed a sense of greater maturity, a more grown-up demeanor, and a diminished celebrity presence,” the expert continued. She also noted that there was no attempt to court the crowd or engage in ostentatious displays, underscoring the challenging period he is currently experiencing with Meghan amid ongoing rumors of their impending divorce.
