Ever since her rumored split with actor Vijay Varma, fans of Tamannaah Bhatia have been eagerly awaiting any clue about her relationship status. And now, the Baahubali 2 star may have finally given a cheeky hint—albeit with charm and clever wit.
At the trailer launch of her upcoming film Odela 2, Tamannaah was asked a rather bold question laced with wordplay:
“Woh kaun hain jise aap apni tantra vidya se Vijay (a clear nod to her ex, Vijay Varma) karna chahti hain?”
(Who would you like to win over with your special powers?)
Blushing, Tamannaah laughed off the question and replied, “It would have to be you,” gesturing towards the reporter. “Then the whole paparazzi would be in my control and they would listen to whatever I say!”
When further quizzed about who she’d like to control if given supernatural powers in real life, the actress gracefully dodged the question with a diplomatic, “I just wish to reside in everyone’s heart.”
Tamannaah and Vijay had confirmed their relationship back in June 2024 after months of speculation, following their onscreen chemistry in Lust Stories 2, a Netflix anthology. The two were frequently spotted together, including their much-talked-about New Year’s getaway in Goa.
Interestingly, Vijay later clarified on Netflix India’s YouTube channel that their relationship didn’t blossom during the film shoot. Speaking with comedian Tanmay Bhat, he revealed, “Lust Stories was cupid, but it wasn’t during the shoot. It began later—after a mini wrap party attended by just four people. That’s when I told her I’d like to hang out more. It took another 20-25 days for our first date.”
While the couple never revealed the reason behind their split, the two have maintained silence ever since breakup rumors began swirling online. But if Tamannaah’s recent witty exchange is anything to go by, she’s taking everything in stride—with poise and a smile.
