Civil judge seeks Jail trial for Imran Khan in woman judge threat case.

A civil judge has formally requested the high court to conduct the jail trial of PTI founder Imran Khan in the woman judge threat case.

The hearing took place on Wednesday at Islamabad’s District and Sessions Court, presided over by Civil Judge Muhammad Murid Abbas. Advocate Sardar Masroof represented Imran Khan in court.

Judge Abbas noted that a request had already been sent to the high court regarding the jail trial but no response had been received yet. Following this, the court adjourned the hearing.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court has issued arrest warrants for PTI leader Zartaj Gul. Civil Judge Mubashir Hassan Chishti issued the warrants due to her repeated failure to appear in court despite multiple summons.

“Since Zartaj Gul has not complied with court orders, I am issuing her arrest warrants,” the judge remarked. The case against Zartaj Gul was registered at Bara Kahu Police Station.
