Pakistan defeats India by 43 runs in U19 Asia cup.

Pakistan registered a dominant 43-run victory over India in the third match of the U19 Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Chasing a target of 282 runs, India were bowled out for a mere 238. Nikhil Kumar (67) was the only significant contributor from the middle order, as Pakistan’s bowlers dominated the proceedings.

India’s openers Ayush Mhatre (20) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi were dismissed in the first five overs by Ali Raza and Abdul Subhan. Andre Siddharth was out for 15, and Indian captain Mohammad Amaan managed just 16 before being dismissed by Usman Khan.

Kiron Chormale and Harvansh Pangalia also failed to make an impact as Pakistan’s bowlers continued to shine. Tail-enders Mohammed Ennan and Yudhajit Guha fought hard but couldn’t withstand Pakistan’s magical fielding and bowling. Ennan’s run out sealed the win for Pakistan.

Ali Raza led the charge with three wickets, while Abdul Subhan and Faham-ul-Haq took two wickets each.

Earlier, Pakistan posted a competitive total of 281/7 after opting to bat first. Openers Usman Khan and Shahzaib Khan laid a strong foundation with a solid partnership. Usman Khan played a stunning knock of 159, while Shahzaib Khan contributed 60 runs. Riazullah added 27 runs, but Pakistan lost a flurry of middle-order wickets, preventing them from reaching 300.

In the tournament’s opening matches, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh triumphed over Nepal and Afghanistan, respectively. Pakistan will next face the United Arab Emirates on December 2 and Japan on December 4.

The semi-finals will take place on December 6, with the final scheduled for December 8 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
