Shah Rukh Khan wins best actor award for ‘Jawan’ at IIFA 2024.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan clinched the Best Actor trophy for his outstanding performance in Jawan at the IIFA Awards 2024, held on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. His action-packed role in the film, which also featured Deepika Padukone and Vijay Sethupathi, showcased his versatility as an actor.

During the award ceremony, SRK touched the feet of acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam and embraced music legend AR Rahman, a gesture that won the hearts of fans and added a heartfelt touch to the event.

Shah Rukh Khan made his return to the silver screen earlier this year with Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, in January 2023. This film marked his action-packed comeback after a four-year hiatus, following a string of less successful films like Zero and Jab Harry Met Sejal. Pathaan broke several box office records, establishing itself as one of the highest-grossing films in Indian cinema.

Following Pathaan, SRK continued his successful streak with Jawan, released on September 7. This film further showcased his action hero persona and garnered tremendous success, collecting over ₹1,000 crores at the worldwide box office. With its gripping storyline and stellar performances, Jawan has redefined box office success and set new records.

The film also marked Shah Rukh Khan’s first collaboration with director Atlee, and the overwhelming response has solidified his status as a leading figure in the film industry.
