Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called on both federal and provincial governments to take immediate action to resolve the issues faced by flood victims. He made these remarks during a ceremony held in Quetta for those affected by the floods on Monday.
Bilawal emphasized that the rehabilitation of flood victims was a critical component of the agreement signed between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the PPP before the formation of the current government. He expressed concern that the flood victims in Balochistan are not receiving the rights and assistance that were promised.
The PPP chairman highlighted that he has secured funding for the construction of homes for the flood victims. He mentioned that similar initiatives had already been implemented for flood victims in Sindh and assured that the same would be replicated in Balochistan.
According to Bilawal, many flood victims have been left homeless since 2022, and he is committed to providing them with shelter before the onset of the next flood season.
