Production of Shoaib Akhtar Biopic ‘Rawalpindi Express’ Wraps up.

The much-anticipated biographical film “Rawalpindi Express,” depicting the life of Pakistani cricket legend Shoaib Akhtar, has successfully completed its filming phase, as confirmed by Q Film Productions, a company based in the United Arab Emirates.

A captivating teaser for the movie, showcasing breathtaking visuals, exceptional cinematography, and an ensemble of renowned actors, has been unveiled by the production company.

Despite the challenges encountered by the filmmakers along the way, the production team remains steadfast and proud to present an enthralling cinematic preview that offers a glimpse into the remarkable cast.

Kafeel Anwar, the producer of “Rawalpindi Express” and the managing director of Q Film Productions, addressed the uncertainties that often accompany the development of such projects. He expressed, “Bringing this movie to fruition was no small task. When crafting a film about a legend like Shoaib Akhtar, there’s no room for error. We were fortunate to assemble a dedicated team in Pakistan, tirelessly working to bring our vision to life. Accuracy was paramount due to Shoaib Akhtar’s substantial global following.”

The creators emphasize that they possess all necessary legal authorizations to create and distribute the movie. Anwar affirmed, “Without the proper legal rights, completing the production would have been impossible.”

Anwar has also announced that the film is slated for international distribution later this year.

In the stellar ensemble cast of the Shoaib Akhtar biopic, Mirza Gohar Rasheed takes on the lead role with excellence. Alongside him, celebrated figures such as the legendary Salman Shahid, seasoned actor Usman Pirzada, prominent Pakistani cinema figure Saleem Mairaj, Rabita Ali making her debut in feature films, Adnan Shah Tipu, who received honors at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, and the versatile Rahim Pardesi, recognized for his roles as a YouTuber, singer, actor, and host, have all significantly contributed to this exceptional film.

The film is set to portray the monumental journey of the cricketing legend, Shoaib Akhtar, and fittingly draws its name from his renowned cricketing moniker, paying tribute to his roots in Rawalpindi.
