In a report emerging from the northern China’s Shaanxi province, it has been revealed that a coal mine explosion has led to the tragic loss of at least 11 lives. Chinese media reported this devastating incident on Tuesday.
According to official sources, nine workers who were initially trapped underground have been located, but sadly, none of them showed any signs of life. Additionally, two people who were subjected to resuscitation efforts tragically did not survive.
At the time of the explosion, there were approximately 90 people inside the coal mine. Chinese state broadcaster CCTV also provided insight into the condition of the survivors, mentioning that 11 individuals sustained relatively minor injuries and has been transported to hospitals for treatment. Thankfully, their vital signs are reported to be stable.
The cause of this tragic accident is presently under investigation, and authorities are diligently working to ascertain the factors that contributed to this devastating event.
