Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja emphasized that the security situation in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is improving, instilling confidence in the overall electoral process. Federal Election Commissioner Rauf Hassan emphasized that the electoral procedures and guidelines are detailed in the Election Rules 2020, which are available on the official website and the application. Polling will be conducted from 10 AM to 4 PM, and the announcement of polling stations and appellate tribunals is scheduled for February 1.

The collaboration between Sindh Rangers and the police underscores a coordinated approach to ensure the security and integrity of the electoral process. Presiding Officers, under Section 174 of the Election Act, will have the authority to take corrective actions, including penalizing individuals for any violations or disruptions encountered during the electoral process. This proactive approach ensures that Presiding Officers are equipped with the tools to address issues promptly, contributing to the overall efficiency and fairness of the election proceedings.

Addressing the security concerns surrounding the elections, Rahman suggested that the deployment of the military, ISI, and Rangers should strategically focus on key locations rather than having a direct presence inside polling booths, which he argued leads to more complications.
