Senator Taj Haider reiterated the importance of following court orders under all circumstances. He argued that there could be no compromise on this issue. He suggested that the judiciary should inquire which officials were not complying with court orders and whether there was any external pressure preventing them from doing so. Some individuals, he suggested, might be pressuring the bureaucracy not to enforce court orders.

Despite the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) not yet announcing the schedule for the upcoming general elections, the redrawing of electoral constituencies has already begun. This suggests that the general elections may not be held within the next three months, as the Election Commission has set the timeframe for the constituency delimitation process. However, this does not provide a definitive timeline for the elections.

In this regard, President Alvi has consulted extensively with the leadership of his party, PTI, including its legal experts. Reliable sources close to the President have reported that last month, he indicated to his staff at the Presidential Palace that on September 9, he would review the Guard of Honour outside the Presidential Palace. This would serve as a signal and announcement of his departure from the official residence. Since then, silence has prevailed on this matter.

The court ruled that the protests raised are an attack on the independence of the judiciary, and objections against judges are tantamount to an assault on the court itself.
