Saeed Ghani, the President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Karachi, has expressed confidence that the party is poised to secure a significant victory in the upcoming general elections. During a conversation on Geo News program “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath,” Ghani outlined the party’s ambitious electoral goals, anticipating winning 13 seats in the National Assembly and 27 to 28 seats in the Provincial Assembly from Karachi.
Ghani highlighted the party’s resilience, emphasizing that PPP is confronting the elections independently, while its opponents are grappling with internal discord and forming alliances. He attributed PPP’s strength to its longstanding commitment to Karachi and its people.
Speaking about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Ghani noted a decline in their electoral influence, citing a reduction from receiving 70,000 votes in the past to a significantly lower count. He expressed confidence that voters, based on PPP’s performance over the last five years, will choose the party over others.
The PPP Karachi President acknowledged that PPP is facing a competitive landscape, but the party’s strong organizational structure, coupled with its commitment to the welfare of the people, positions it as a formidable contender in the upcoming elections.
Ghani addressed the shift in MQM’s electoral performance, underscoring that the people’s trust in PPP is growing. He dismissed the idea of any electoral alliance with other parties, asserting that PPP is determined to contest the elections independently and uphold its principles.
As Karachi gears up for the electoral battle, Saeed Ghani’s optimism reflects the party’s strategic approach and belief in its ability to resonate with the electorate. The upcoming elections in Karachi are poised to be a closely watched political event, with PPP striving to make significant gains and solidify its position in both the National and Provincial Assemblies.
