In a recent press conference held in Lahore, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Ideology, Akhtar Iqbal Dar, raised accusations claiming that PTI had issued counterfeit tickets featuring their candidates for the upcoming elections.
During the press briefing, PTI Ideologue Akhtar Iqbal Dar expressed bewilderment, stating that PTI candidates were observed heading towards ARY News offices with PTI-N tickets in hand. He emphasized his lack of knowledge regarding how PTI candidates managed to obtain PTI-N tickets, further questioning the credibility of the entire process.
Dar clarified that PTI-N would provide a list of its candidates to the ARY News anchor, Arif Hameed Bhatti, for the upcoming elections. He underscored that the tickets issued in 2018 are the same ones being reissued for the current electoral cycle, emphasizing consistency in PTI-N’s approach.
Speaking about the party’s ideology, Akhtar Iqbal Dar mentioned that over the past few years, he felt that PTI lacked transparency and sincerity. In response, PTI Ideologue has been formulated to serve the sincere and transparent individuals dedicated to moving the country forward. Dar reiterated that until a system of accountability and reward is established, the country cannot progress.
He further clarified that PTI Ideology has its own manifesto and program, independent of PTI. He underscored the importance of a genuine system of accountability and reward for the nation to move forward.
A notable aspect of Dar’s statements was his allegations that PTI had collected fake tickets. He affirmed that PTI Ideology’s candidates independently secured tickets and emphasized that the party had released tickets for its candidates in Multan and Faisalabad.
Akhtar Iqbal Dar emphasized that PTI Ideology operates with its own manifesto and constitution, and they do not enter into any agreements with other parties regarding their tickets. He concluded by suggesting that those who engaged in malpractices should be apprehended by the Election Commission.
This controversy adds a layer of complexity to the political landscape as the upcoming elections draw near, highlighting the intricacies and potential friction between political entities in Pakistan.
