In a dramatic turn of events, an Indian flight from Ahmedabad to Dubai, operated by SpiceJet Airlines, made an emergency medical landing in Karachi. According to reports, SpiceJet’s flight SG 15 landed in Karachi at 9:00 PM, seeking urgent medical assistance for a 27-year-old Indian passenger, Dhruv Dharmesh Kumar, who suffered a heart attack.
The request for the emergency landing was prompted by the deteriorating health condition of Dhruv Dharmesh Kumar, a passenger on the Ahmedabad to Dubai route. Karachi’s Air Traffic Control granted permission for the landing on humanitarian grounds.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737, safely landed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. Following the landing, the airport authorities facilitated the transfer of the distressed passenger for medical attention.
Airport officials revealed that a medical team from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) was immediately dispatched to provide necessary medical assistance. According to CAA spokesperson, the medical team successfully stabilized the 27-year-old Indian passenger’s condition after providing prompt medical care.
The spokesperson further explained that the passenger had experienced a health crisis due to elevated sugar levels. The medical team’s intervention included administering necessary medical aid on the spot. Following the stabilization of his condition, the Indian passenger’s well-being was ensured.
It was reported that the emergency medical landing was necessary due to a diabetic episode suffered by Dhruv Dharmesh Kumar. The SpiceJet flight received refueling services at Karachi Airport before resuming its journey to Dubai.
