Bollywood veteran actor Dalip Tahil has been sentenced to a two-month jail term in a five-year-old case. According to Indian media reports, in 2018, Dalip Tahil was involved in a car accident while driving under the influence of alcohol, colliding with a rickshaw and injuring a young man and a woman who were passengers in the rickshaw.
After the accident, Indian police arrested Dalip Tahil, but he was later released on bail. However, the legal proceedings in the case continued.
According to Indian media, a magistrate’s court has now sentenced the senior actor to a two-month jail term. During the court proceedings, the doctor testified that there was a strong smell of alcohol in Dalip Tahil’s car, and the actor himself was in an intoxicated state.
